VDO revcounter, for mermaid diesel

I have inadvertently pulled the wires off my VDO rev counters, they are red, white and blue and I cant find any information as to how to wire them, either here in corfu or online, anybody help me please! I've tried mermaid to no avail.

Does the back of the VDO Tacho have a connector block accepting spades or separate terminals?
The wires themselves will be +'ve, -ve, tacho signal.
A picture would help.

I have two Mermaids with one manual and wiring diagram. I will look at it tomorrow and try and copy it for you
