VDO Logic Map wiring help please!

Does anyone have any data on the wiring of a VDO Logic map 8? Or any similar VDO chartplotter with NMEA in rather than a built in gps?
Is there a general ' standard' across manufacturers for nmea in/out?
Can't find anything useful on the web....
