Hi,
Recent boat, bought with log not working, now out of water
I have a VDO log (no model apparent) approx 3 inch square LCD display with through hull paddlewheel fitting.
Paddlewheel shaft is damaged, although I have managed to get it spinning.
There is power to LCD display that registers 0.00 but doesn't move when it spins, all cable seems ok.
Can anyone help ot perhaps have a contact who could
Many thanks

You could try Furneax Riddall here . I had one of the round dials that was broken so opted to change the whole thing for the Raymarine Tridata. I think the VDO kit is good but is quite pricey, and as some of the kit is quite old now theres a question on how long spares will be available.

fwiw,
We had a dodgy vdo paddlewheel unit of our boat when purchased.
After much research about 3 years ago managed to purchase a new sender unit from abroad for about £120 and install. Lasted a while till fouling and antifoul build up caused it to stick again.
My view would be to invest the money towards a gps unit to replace the hole in the dash with something that will do the job plus other things as well.
If your intent on replacing pm me and i'll try to did out the supplier details from my archives.
