So, most of the prep work is done, and if it is a reasonable day tomorrow I should press ahead and get the first coat of varnish on. The boat is outside. There isa volcano erupting in iceland. Should I delay my work? Is there no risk of a layer of ash landing on the decks? If it does, should I just treat it as a useful non slip additive?

agree, seems to be lots of the wee XXXXXXX about with this warm weather, I will be varnishing the cruiser doors inside in the lounge & dining room, on the tables......

Mrs Tremlett away this weekend by any chance?

Quite windy and not all that warm here today, so might leave it anyway and get on with other stuff. Flies are not too prevalent here yet, but little bits of blossom get blown of my neighbours tree, grr.....
