Varnish in the Med?

Any particular advice on choosing a varnish or oil for treating the companionway woodwork - a mixture of solid teak and teak faced ply - on a boat in Greece?

In the UK we used Sikkens Cetol Natural which gives a lovely warm glow to the wood and a super surface sheen.

Try the stoppani range, I've been using these products in the greek sunshine for about 8 years, seems to work OK. The system starts with a 2 pack impregnation process and then moves on to mono coats for maintainence. Where in greece are you?
