Anyone know the max prop diameter (physical not theoretical) that I can fit to my Vancouver 27 - or the distance from shaft to skeg/hull? The boat's in France so I'd like to have an idea before I lift out in April when I can get the actual measurement.

If you ring Northshore they have most of the details of boats manufactured including those by Pheon. The space for the prop is huge and within reason will accomadate a prop of any diameter, its size will be governed by the engine HP. If memory serves the distance between prop and skeg is more than a foot. The cutlass bearing protrudes about 8 inches from the hull with a couple of inches of free shaft to the prop. On the 27 you have to draw the shaft into the hull as the skeg is glassed into the hull and keel extension although the hull skeg joint is a known weakness and has often been reinforced. You could try the owners association which has many knowledgable people. PM me if you need phone numbers or other info, I may have some digital photos. Used to own a V27 great sea boat.
