valve clearances for bukh dv36

could someone please help,i have a recently purchased a yacht with a bukh dv36 and need to know the valve clearances as it has been overhauled and cant get it to start.It chugs a few times and thats it,when purchased took motor apart because seized and found it in perfect condition and someone had put wrong cap on wrong piston and when touqued up locked crank,getting fuel pumping through injectors but cant seem to get it to fire,only thing i can think of is valve clearances , any suggestions please.

Yep, 0.3mm cold, at least that is what it says in the manual.

Also lists several other reasons why engine will not start or starts then stops.
Air in fuel system.
Stop magnet out of adjustment.
Worn or siezed (or broken) piston rings.
Pressure valve in pump sticking or worn
Clogged fuel filter.
Injector failure (needle valve leaking)
etc., etc.

If the compression is OK I would first suspect fuel or pump or injector problems.

The people to ask are Bukh U.K. (Ask for Al or Norman)

BTW, who did the "overhaul"?

i pulled it out got a mechanic to overhaul it while i was watching but had to put head on when placed back in yacht as no room,only have one bukh dealer,service centre in New Zealand and usually to busy to get hold of,was told clearance was .003 didnt sound correct,hard to get a good manual all seem to have limited information,thanks for your help
