An electric upgrade is planned which will render some bits redundant viz a Navman 5500 plotter,Navman 7100 VHF radio and NASA AIS thingy, how much should a chap hope to get for these items?
Better on the "for sale forum" or on e-bay?

Potential return will influence subsequent buying decisions.

If you want the best price E-bay is the way to go. It's ridiculous what people will pay for 2nd hand stuff there.

Look at eBay, and select "Completed listings" in the "Show only" section. This will give you an idea of how much stuff has actually sold for recently.

I got over £50 for a 15 year old (but working) VHF on ebay, that's the way to go. IMO 99p no reserve I think is much better than setting a start price approaching what you think you might get, or put it another way, don't try to be greedy...:)
