Posted this question in wrong forum section, basically wanted to know what my boat is worth, ill keep it brief this time, the boat is not for sale, just that with being new to boating world (my 1st boat for a year now) I dont know if either iv'e paid too much for it or what trade in price I should be aiming for?

Boat is a 1997 Four winns 195 sundowner, low hours, great condition, cover, radio, cb, depth guage etc.. 5.7 gi volvo penta with SS duo prop, twin axle trailer.

Appreciate your advice all, cheers, hope its worth more than the £200 quoted by some jokers on other section LOL!?

Chances are if its your first boat then you might have overpaid. But in truth forget that part if its all good and runs then enjoy the sport/hobby and just get out on the water as thats what its all about the fun and the coming home end o the day with a big grin.

I agree with em2655's statement. If your enjoying your boating, then it was worth every penny.

I'd value your boat at around 8K tops but you may struggle to get 7K as things stand. If you go to sell, start high and work down.

£8k , £9k maybe even 10 if its shiney enough!

Whatever it is worth you were obviously happy to pay the price, don't ever buy a boat as an investment - get on it and enjoy! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

sounds hopeful..
I know of a 2008 18ft with 3.0l went for £10.750 through a main dealer (not 4Winns). Sure this is bigger boat, bigger engine, but 11 years older..
