I'm planning on buying a permanent-liveaboard bluewater yacht this year, & am starting to sort out what clothes & bedding etc.. to keep on board. Of all the different makes of vacuum storage bags on the market, which make will retain the vacuum for weeks/months.? Which one's the best.? Thanks for the advice...Jeff

I bought mine from QVC. The trick is to make sure the end seal is as flat as possible, and is not under strain. Mine are still vacuumed after 6 months.

They are a great way to bring bedding onboard, and to keep some spare and dry for when needed.

Thanks for the reply Mark, will check out QVC asap. Have just picked up the very last 2 items (£24-4xbags) in my area, from Argos, & they're excellent for big duvets,etc...Excellent seal if anyone's interested. Is it possible to get a rechargeable Dustbuster to suck on these things on the yacht.? I can see this would be invaluable once on the high seas. Some sort of adaptor from widemouth to round.? Jeff
