Hi, can any one tell me anything good or bad about uttern boats?
I’m looking at the s64!
They are part of the Brunswick / Marine Power Europe
Any one know anything?

Made in Scandinavia - Sweden I think - have been round for donkey's years. Always seemed to put practicality before style though the newer models are more stylish. Lots of them around in the Baltic countries so they can't be too bad.

I thought that one was tested once by MBM but may be wrong. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the feed back, it dose just about every thing we as a family want from a boat, Just till Saturday I had not heard of them!

Well I have had this boat 6 months & still not been able to use it!!
From what I have been told when the engine was fitted by Uttern they did not connect the water intake from the Alpha 1 drive! But fitted a see cock so the engine could draw in its own coolant! But this is not as MerCruiser fitting instructions & the result is the pump on the engine which is ment to pump water round the engine is also trying to draw the water in as well!
The end result is the engine over heats when you try to use it!
Very cheesed off, think its time to ask for my money back!

Sorry to hear you have had issues with the purchase.
Do you have the 1.7DTi diesel Mercruiser?

No it is the 4.3MPI petrol!

Yep got it from Essex Marine, they have had it back already & are picking it up on friday again to try & get it sorted! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
They are lending me a boat to use for the time being, not the same though!

Not connected to Essex, but from my experience of them they are good guys. They should get it sorted and I cant think of any other dealer that would lend you a loan boat !!
