Using Tidal Harmonic Constants

I want to write my own program for tidal predictions but I can't find the algorithms which use the UK Hydrographic Office's tidal harmonic constants anywhere ... Can anybody help with this?

You wont, UKHO charge for the use of these, and this is why a lot of the shareware programmes that contained this data have been withdrawn (like wxtide32.exe). Not a problem in other countries where they have this strange idea that hydrographic data has been purchased by the people by their tax contribution so they should get the results for free!

What you need from the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.ukho.gov.uk/misc_tidal_publications.html> UKHO pubs </A> is:
NP159 Simplified Harmonic Method of Tidal Prediction (Book of forms, instructions and examples)
NP 160 Tidal Harmonic Constants (European Waters)
Then you are on your way.
Alternatively you could buy NP159a the PC version of the above /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Sadly, NP159 isn't in the Hydrographic Office's list of publications, so it has been withdrawn?
However, it does list :-

Admiralty Tidal Handbook No.2 – Datums for Hydrographic Surveys
Cost £10.00

Cost £10.00

But the description of contents is so brief I can't tell if they would be of any use to me.
