Haven’t tried them yet. Do they have pick up strops? If not is the ring on an extended rod to make looping a rope easier? Any other tips?
Thank you, that prompts another question with my 8 ton boat - are there 2 sizes and how are they differentiated? The new 5 ton ones have pickup strops and they have a few yellow floats on them along with a ring on top. The strop is around 10 foot long, a decent loop and a 'rubber' tube protecting the rope as it goes over the fairlead. The nearest ones are still around 300 metres from the shore.
They have the 'weights' written on them. The 10 ton ones are the furthest out.Thank you, that prompts another question with my 8 ton boat - are there 2 sizes and how are they differentiated?
Very helpful, much appreciatedThey have the 'weights' written on them. The 10 ton ones are the furthest out.
I would expect all the buoys to be in use every day until September to you may well have to anchor.
