Hi,
I have Garmin GPS128 with an external antenna. I want to replace this unit with Raymarine C70 chartplotter.

Can I use existing GPS antenna or do I have to buy a new Raymarine/NMEA one? If so which one would you recommend?

Thanks
Michal

You can't use the antenna on its own, but you could keep the GPS128 and feed NMEA position data from it to the C70. The downside is that you're using the single NMEA port on the C70. If you buy a Raystar 125, it can work in SeaTalk and therefore leave the C70's single NMEA port free for other interfacing. I have a C-series, and never really understood why it only has one NMEA port.
