Using gas hose for coolant

Hi all,

Have a split in the hose that connects my engine block to my header tank. This was plain black hose, but the only thing that Force 4 had of the same internal diameter was LPG bright orange hose.

Just wanted to check I'm ok using this? I would imagine boiling water is probably less stressful on hose than gas, but thought I should check before I melt something.

Why not go to the local motor factors and get engine hose for a fraction of the price!

Would have been more sensible, but didn't have the time before going to the boat...

Ok as a temp repair but the gas hose is not designed for boiling water and could start to degrade quite quickly internally.
