Using Easy-Start on a Webasto..

A question being asked by a yachtsman on Facebook; his blown-air Webasto diesel heater won't start, and he is wondering whether to use Easy-Start. I wonder if anyone here has ever tried, and with what results

As a retired engineer I would suggest he didn't even think about it......there are a number of possibilities.
1.....if the ignitor is faulty nothing happens..bit smelly perhaps
2.....if the ignitor is working and depending at which part of the combustion cycle he starts pumping the easy start in...either PHUT,BOOM or BANG,either way he will be lucky to get away with singed eye brows..

I think the results could be quite spectacular with bits of Webasto scattered around his boat, along with an overpowering smell of scorched flesh.
