Uses for a non-newtonian fluid on a boat

I was at a party recently and two blokes (had to be) made up a non-newtonian fluid (starch and water) It was fun. I got to thinking this could be useful on a boat! Stop things rolling around when you do a jibe. put around the boat stop jetskies or anything that does over 2 knots past you. There must be more uses

The American Military and Police have huge budgets to research / develop 'non lethal weapons'.

These include the 'Bostick Gun' which covers and immobilises the baddies in a thick layer of glue; I'd pay good money to see that tried on a bunch of jetski's !!!
