USB GPS?

Hi,

does anyone use a GlobalSAT BU-353 USB GPS receiver?

I am looking for something with EGNOS capability to go with OpenCpn and this seems to fit the bill - any comments or recommendations from anyone who uses this or something similar?

I purchased one a few months ago to use alongside http://www.waterexplorer.co.uk/Default.aspx

I have not used it in anger yet, so cannot really give much feedback; apart from to say it is idiot proof to set up.
If this idiot can do it, anyone can

I use the BR-355, which is similar except has straight NMEA output - I have it wired to my DSC radio to make it independent of the main GPS. Don't really have any comments - it just sits there and works.

I use a £20 one from maplins, no issues with it blobbed inside a window + a 1m extension cable

Yep I do... use it as a feed to OPENCPN running on a Netbook... works a treat - no issues....
