USA shore power plug

An IRL sailboat is planning a crossing from Plymouth to Newport, RI, in late May.

Can anyone advise what kind of shore power plug (male) is used in marinas from Newport to Manhatten. We need to purchase the appropriate plug and make an adapter for the existing plug.

This site can show you some plugs, leads and adapters. Remember, most supplies are 125Vac in the USA.

The majority have both 125v 30 amp and 50 amp recepticles on the dock.

there is an advice section as well as chandlery.
you an find out all about it there. Most small to
mid size sail boats use a 30 amp circuit.
