Hi,

I'm looking for crew to do a delivery on a 25m Custom Motor Sailer with me next week. The yacht is currently in Esbjerg, Denmark and the delivery is to finish in Riga, Latvia. Weather depending I'm hoping to leave next Thursday night/Friday, passage should be 5-6 days.

Although not pretty, she is sound and fitted with a recently rebuilt Gardner Diesel engine and Kohler generator. However the new owner is having her delivered to Latvia for a refit, so the interior and exterior are not immaculate.

It's not a paid delivery, however we are willing to cover travel costs and living aboard. I'm looking for people who are able to stand a navigational watch, tickets are not important, common sense however, is.

Please get in touch via here and we'll go from there.

Regards,

Phil

Strong Northerlies are forecast for next Friday in the Baltic / Denmark sea areas with mean wind speed of 15 - 20 knots (gusts to 30 knots), is your passage plan to run down to the Kiel Canal or beat up, over the top and down through the Kattegat?

Does the vessel carry any safety equipment, EPIRB, VHF (VHF ATIS equipped), NAVTEX or Weatherman or MF/HF SSB and what about Charts or Chart Plotter with the Baltic area installed? Do you as the Skipper hold VHF/LRC certificate?

What is the draft of the vessel and will it be sailed, motor-sailed or just motored?

How would you intend getting out to Esbjerg and returning from Latvia, flying, driving or a mix of both?

Leaving Thursday night / Friday, would that be leaving UK or leaving the port of embarkation?

A better idea of paying for the travel would be good too? ;)

.

The plan at the moment is to run south and transit the Kiel Canal.

The vessel is equipped with: VHF, EPIRB, NAVTEX, recently installed Raymarine system and a full compliment of charts for the Baltic area.
As skipper I hold a M200t, NOE for Chief Mate 3000t and a GOC/LRC Radio ticket.

Draft is aprox 2.5m, long keel. The plan is to motor sail.

I'm flying to Hamburg and taking a train to Esbjerg, due to my current location - each crew member will be individually assessed and we can go from there. The owner of the vessel will be directly booking and paying for the fares.

At present it is still my intention to leave Friday night from Esbjerg.. however this is subject to weather conditions.
