The winning team at Burnham Week is short of crew for Friday and has asked me to put up this post.

If they were also available for a homeward bound on Saturday all the better but the priority is Friday. She has one inexperienced crew but it is too windy this week to manage.

It was blooming windy today:eek: Bernie's windy things have gone awol but we reckoned 40 knots in the gusts when close hauled. Not pleasant but a win is a win:cool: A 5 hour race - je suis knacked. Hopefully a bit quieter tomorrow.

PM me if you haven't got Bernie's number.

Well done to Bernie. I think Burnham Week has been great this year, the courses have been fun and the new classes have been a good idea with us non-spinnaker brigade now starting in the middle of the fleet.

It is a shame in a way that we are not in Bernie's class this year and Moondancer has felt bullied by racing against a Bavaria 38, Dehler 34 and her smallest competitor a Contessa 32. We are not doing the middle of the week but will be back on Saturday for the last day. We came 3rd in all three of our races so consistency has been our theme rather than winning!

Full Circle crewed for us on Saturday and has been on Vreny since, so a good forum turn out this year.

dammit, off to france for a week on saturday so can't get time off otherwise I would have been up for it with Grayling sat out at the moment.

Looking at the forecast I am dubious we would have been able to make it round to Burnham last Friday or back yesterday. We wouldn't have been out in 40knts! 25knt gusts with the No.3 blade and a reef we were running out of traveller and had at least one broach. I was sort of relieved I'd decided to give it a miss this year.

Good luck to Bernie, she sailed a blinder last year.
