From Dyfed Powys Police -

MISSING UPDATE: We're still looking for Arthur Roy Taylor, missing since Saturday morning from Gwbert Boat Club, Cardigan.

Yesterday we appealed for you to send us any photographs and video footage you had taken along the coast at and near Gwbert on Saturday. We are very grateful to the number of people who responded but unfortunately, having looked at the images provided none were of Mr Taylor’s vessel.

If you were in this area and have photographs or video footage of a small single person dinghy in the sea (pictured), please send to ContactCentre@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting incident reference 251 of 15/04

Further searches are due to take place today by NPAS (National Police Air Service) and HM Coastguard, assisted by local officers.

Mr Taylor, commonly known as Archie was last seen at approximately 9.30am on Saturday, April 15 when he left his accommodation to take his boat out to sea off Gwbert boat club.

He is 90 years of age, is 5’ 4” and of slim build. He has grey hair and was last seen wearing a navy jumper and dark grey waterproof jacket.

Mr Taylor’s boat has been located, but Mr Taylor is still unaccounted for.

His family continue to be supported by local officers.

And, he was still messing about in boats at 90 years old, out doing what he loved. Better to go that way than spending the rest of your days in a home somewhere.
