A major search operation is underway for a 58-year-old Tewkesbury man who has gone missing.Terry Nield was last seen leaving the Haw Bridge pub in Tirley and sailing away on his boat on the River Severn at 4pm on Saturday (April 6).The boat was found near his home address in Lower Lode on Sunday (April 7) but Terry was not with it and has not been seen since.Inspector Steve Norris said: "Terry's dog was at his home and his vehicle was found locked and secured."We're most concerned for him and have commited resources including the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue boat, the police helicopter, police dog and up to 20 officers on the ground to look for him."If you've seen him or have any information, please call us straight away on 101, quoting incident 376 of April 7."
 
Body recovered believed to be Terry Nield age quoted as 56. Very sad. Police report.

Body Found in River Severn Search






Police searching for a missing Tewkesbury man recovered a body from the River Severn at Lower Lode in Tewkesbury this morning, Wednesday April 10.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but the next of kin of missing 56-year-old Terry Nield have been spoken to by officers.

The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
