Just daydreaming but wouldn’t it be nice if by any chance the numerous pump outs that have been out of order for in some cases over a year ! were fixed !!! Funny thing is they are all working year round in boatyards and marinas where you can pay anything up to £30. For a single pump out .
Surely the amount of money paid to the Environment Agency annually should cover the cost of basic repairs and maintenance to the Pump out stations 🚉 . But then again, I’m probably just dreaming .

Basic difference is that anyone can put anything they like through a public card operated pumpout. They are reasonably remote sites in a lot of cases such as Boveney and it seems rather plausible they may end up getting used for such things as emptying dirty bilges now and then.

The pumps won't like that.

A boatyard would never do this and will make an effort to look after their own hardware if it is generating profits.

In addition boatyards sometimes have real machinery which can tolerate a bit of abuse rather than the mickey mouse equipment which the EA seem intent on using.
