Well while I have been without my PC I have had plenty of time to work and play on the boat, over the tail end of the summer I re trimmed the interior cushions and I am quite pleased with the results. My thoughts have now turned to the exterior seats and that looks a lot more complicated...any advise or should I leave to the profesionals, if so what should I expect to have to pay?? ( I have a sealine 285 so have a single helm seat with a double next to it, both quite sculpted and 3 long seats round the table at the back)

If you have managed the interior cushions why not do the exterior ones as well?

I have to admit to having done the same as you but the other way around ie started on the exterior and then went on to do the interior.

You can get the materials from either "Toomer & Hayter" by phone (I dont have the number but they must be listed under ybw.com directory somewhere) or http://www.pointnorth.co.uk

Both will send you samples so you can check what you are buying.

I used a domestic sewing machine and managed to sew up to 7 layers of vinyl with no problems.

Basic White or Navy Vinyl about £10 a metre.

Good Luck

Mike

thanks for that i will have a look, the only reason I am looking at getting the pro's in is that the helm seats are very sculped and I am not sure my tallents streach that far!
