I am going to get new bunk cushions for NYACHILWA and I am thinking about alcantara. Any views on durability/suitability or any other features? Does it stand up to getting wet? Easy to clean etc? Or any other good suggestions?

many thanks

Graham

Hi Graham

So far just googled this product and found little information on its waterproof qualities, but as the make-up of the material is a non-fiberous composit it could well be so.
Added to the fact the material doesn't fade would suggest that its durability would be better than other 'fabics', as to whether it would stand up to wear from the old glutinous maximus, that informatiom appears to be lacking.

I know this doesn't help much, but may give some other thoughts for you/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Had it in the interior of a Nimbus.
Certainly easy to clean and didn't mark with modest spots of water but not tested with larger volumes.
