Hi has anyone done an upgrade from 'old' BattMan to the current BattMan Lite? For identification, I've attached the manuals of both models, plus see also pictures inserted.

The shunt is by the batteries and the display on my 12V switchboard. In between there are the engine, heads etc etc, so running new wiring is going to be fun. Looking at the manuals and at my existing set up it seems possible to use the existing wires, especially the two which need to be twisted around each other.
Any experience if I could just replace the hardware, ie shunt and display instrument and rewire as per manual? I'm mainly asking because this simple approach evokes the sinking feeling that is sounds too good to be true!!!!
Cheers!
