Upgrading 15HP Yamaha Enduro Outboard

Can anyone advise me on how ro increase the performance of my yamaha enduro 15hp outboard? I have a 13ft rib and the 15hp doesn't quite lift it onto the plane. I had been told that by changing some parts I could upgrade it to 25HP. Is this true? Thank you.

I don't think so, the 9.9 can be upgraded to a 15 but I don't think the 15 can become a 25. You might want to try changing the prop though. Decrease the pitch by 1 increment and that might do the trick. I know that helped us get more effective power out of our 15.

try fitting dole fins to your outboard they worked with mine getting me on the plane faster. their only abouy £20 from most chandlers.
