I want to update my 12 year old Raymarine Chartplotter RL70CRC and my most technical requirement is I don't want a gap due to the old cutout. The new charplotters seem to be wide and narrow, mind is almost square at 7" high 8" wide cutout.
Naturally I expect to have to take a saw to it but I don' want a gap.
The boat is a S37 but the problem will be the same for anyone converting the RL70
Cheers
David

Unlikely to get something that will fit perfectly IMHO. Obviously something bigger could work as long as you have the space but a better option may be to get a new piece of dash facia made up with the right sized hole for the new kit. I have done it on the current boat and it works well.

I think perhaps you may be better served choosing an MFD or display that has the features you want and that you want to live with for a while and even if that means making, or having made a dash overlay (as has been mentioned) go with that one.
