Update Ray Marine 60 series with old B+G

I have 60 series electronics depth, wind speed etc on my boat, and it will come as no surprise but they are the most unreliable load of junk.

So what to do? I'm really tempted to buy some second hand B+G stuff from the 1980's. I love the analog displays and the build quality seems Rolls Royce.

What does anyone think? is this mad?

I have 1985 vintage B&G Hornet 4 wind and log instruments on my boat fitted from new.
I really like the analog displays and never had a problem in my 3 years of ownership.
I am however reassured by the fact they can still be repaired by Tinley electronics.
I do have digital depth by Raymarine though....

ST60 and previously ST50 - no problems over the last 20 years (except ST50 night vis) Are you sure the installation is good?
Although the B&G stuff is pretty to look at, it WILL be older and nearer end of life.
