Been having a look at these with a view to crossing to Ostend or the Roompot next week. Some of the pale blue ones come up as ‘Pre-construction’, are they active areas that we’ve got to avoid at this stage?
Looking for advice from those who have been recently.

As an aside and looking around the UK we’ve come to the conclusion that if we want to sail round the UK we ought to do it while there’s still some sea left.
TIA
Cheers

There is an allotted route from the Roompot going slightly NW. According to how the tides work, it may be better to skirt them to the south. I have marked the route on my plotter but won't be on board until later.

Went to Breskens 6 weeks ago and had to avoid the one under construction SE of the Thornton Bank. See TG's website Week 16. http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html

Back from Ostend 2 weeks ago and didn't see any other than those on our side.

Some live weather for the Flemish coast here https://meetnetvlaamsebanken.be/Map?Page=Map

As an alternative to the Roompot we went from Breskens east along the Westerschelde southern channel and up the Hansweere canal into the Oosterschelde. Goes or Zierikzee (or into the eastern Veersmere) in one go from Breskens. Just get the tide right.

We went direct from Southwold to the Roompot and met the Guardship on the Borselle Wind Farm. The new chart shows the passage through the proposed wind farm and as ofAug last year no turbine installation .
