So, we have finally agreed to buy a Dunkirk little ship! It currently has NASA Target 2 Log, Fluxgate and Depth instruments. Are the transducers for this likely to be able to be reused if I move over to another company's instrumentation (Garmin/Raymarine)?

Dont know about NASA but most depth and log transducers are made by airmar.

You may be able to check compatibility on their web site www.airmar.com

I have simrad and I used transducers supplied for raymarine and they worked perfect.

I recently changed my depth and log head units to raytheon. thinking nothing to lose with old senders, I cut the old plugs off crimped on spades and hey presto it worked. Result one job off the drying out list. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Both arimar senders

Nasa transducers are made by nasa and are not compatible wth other makes. They are the same for all the nasa product ranges.

I had an in hull Seafarer transducer which worked fine on a Nasa. The compatability should work both ways which would suggest Nasa transducers are compatible with some other makes.
