Its time to frapez la route and go to Paris, probably June.

Can some kind soul tell me where I can get info on:

Eiffel Marina?
Pump out and fuel facilities en route?

Info much appreciated. Google returned nothing on Eiffel marina and a previous Paris post just refered to it as better than Arsenal.

Thanks

Richard

May issue MBM well worth a read if you have not already seen it.

Hi Fuel up at Le Havre then again at Rouen (fuel barge upstream left handside from the Rouen pontoons). Also need to buy a license here before you go any further.
Not sure where to get fuel in Paris but there must be somewhere.
Have stayed at Paris Arsenal marina and found it good. Open to the public but patrolled all night by big guys with big dogs Other stops Les Andelys (great open air pool) and Les Mureaux. Must have is the Navicarte - Guide de navigation fluviale La Seine aval du Havre a Paris- has english translation

Eiffel Marina is a quay on right bank (going upstream) just before Eiffel Tower. Very helpful with all facilities and cheaper than Arsenal. Think they open in late May. Stayed there last year. Can get fuel delivered if you ask the Capitinaire.

Fuel barge about 4 km upstream of the Arsenal but about 30% more expensive than a garage.

There is a dieselpump across the road atthe Arsenal on the opposite side to the office and just about level with it. Near the first set of steps if I remember correctly.

The only thing with staying there as opposed to the arsenal is there will be a lot of wake from passing boats there are boats leaving on day trips all the time from that area its a bit like picadilly circus
Pump out I never saw once in both years we went to Paris
Next fuel stop after le harve we used was port illion
Dont trust the navicartes info its only right some times
Draft is very low trying to get in to Les andelys the marina is very shallow only small boats in there
We tied up to a barge and went to see richard the lion hearts castle beautiful place
Dont forget to stop a Vernon and see monets house but its very shallow close into pontoons on the port bank heading into town
Regards

No wash problem at Eiffel Marina. It is on the side of the island not used by commercial traffic, only sightseeing pleasure boats and we were not bothered by wash at all. Wash unbearable in the commercial lane.
