Motored over to Watchet in a flat calm on Sat. morning.Passed this boat going the other way.At first I thought it was a tall ship but as it got closer I realized it was only about 35 ft at a guess. Anyone know anything about her?

Had a great weekend Sampled a beer called "Proper Job" in the Esplanade Club proper job it was :-) Not a bad sail back ,motored a few miles then a usable NWly kicked in as the sun came out.

Took a few pics in and around the marina.

Couple of interesting figureheads.

the first one is called marjorie, she's just had a refit at sharpness, and the second one is also off the canal, think she came from bristol way at whitsun.

Marjorie was built in 1913 and is still in the same familly.

She certainly is gorgeous, we shared a lock and Sharpness a few weeks ago and saw her in Cardiff on Sunday.

I was given a look around Marjorie last week. She was built in !913 and soon afterwards comandeered for war servive. In !930 she was bought by the Grandfather of the lady who sails her now. At the time she had a ketch rig. The gentleman in question had been part of the last intake to Dartmouth to be trained on square riggers. At some point he converted the ketch into a sqare rigger. The present owners have a book which cronicles all of the boat history, including I believe, being sunk by a family member a few years ago. She has been substantially rebuilt recently including some new frames (43 I think they said) and a large proportion of the planking. At present she is at CYC, I think she will be gone later in the week.
