I want to unload my 41 feet flybridge boat at Penton Hook Marina, but they aren't available during my boat arrival. So, I currently booked at Shepperton Marina since I just live in Shepperton. Is there any other marina who have good unload facility and skilled operator better than Penton Hook and Shepperton on the Thames? Any input appreciated.

Butcher Marine at Thames & Kennet, Bushnell's of Wargrave, Windsor Racecourse Marina - all have good travel lifts.
The problem will be the travel time back to the Shepperton area. Being flybridge this may be further complicated by your air draft at Windsor/Eton Bridge and Cookham Footbridge.

in may be worth noting the boat is prob 10 -15 ? tonnes.
When my Princess 35 was lifted at Henley, crane driver asked the estimated weight, seemed to remember Princess website indicated 6/7 tonnes.
After lift, crane man walked over, smiles and ses That boat has just indicated 9 tonnes on my gauge.

Manufacturers boat weights are presumably dry, i.e. no fuel or water and certainly no warps fenders spares drinks food and other stores etc.
Mine was hauled out recently and I thought it was about 4.5 tons, crane driver told it was 6.7. It is 40 years old and has some osmosis so I expect some of the extra weight may be moisture within the hull? The accumulated "stuff" that most cruising boats have on board must account for a ton or so?

If you have no choice but Shepperton, make sure you watch them lift her and video the process. If you notice that the strops are twisted tell them to stop and untwist them before lifting. If there are any issues you'll be glad you recorded the evidence, as Shepperton Marina will attempt to blame everything but their own incompetence if there's a problem.

With yard using a crane and strops on larger boats , rather than a proper boat lift, you need to ensure they use spreaders.
Close inspection of many boats frequently reveals that on some lift or other, they have been squeezed.
Closely observe gel coat where strops come in contact with rubbing band, tell tale is linear horizontal cracking on both sides of boat, usually around rear strop where engine weight is present.
Sometimes mistaken for impact damage.

I think someone was having a laugh., Wrong boat, too big for the Thames, Wrong end of the country. Do you really think he actually bought it, transported it, and is now trying to figure out how to cut the top off to go under the bridges?

I am happy to be proven wrong if it does arrive.
