universal fittings for stainless steel rail

Hi Neil

I already looked at that site but I don't think they do what I am looking for.

I have bought an outboard bracket but when I offered it up against my pushpit rail I found I could fit it to the top rail OK but it was not going to fit on the upright.

My solution to this is to get a sort of upside down T made in stainless steel tube. Some guys I know will make this for me - probably for nothing. The short upright tube will go up into the channel in the outboard bracket. The longer horizontal tube will need to be braced between the uprights of my pushpit.

What I need is a couple of 'ends' which the guys can fit to each end of the horizontal tube so I can then fit it onto the uprights of the pulpit. It could be nylon or stainless steel. Any ideas?

Bernie

I found the same thing. Took it back to the shop and bought a 3 U bolts and an iroko plank. Much cheaper and more solid.

I know what you mean as I had a similar problem sourcing such fittings. I am now just fitting a cross piece to an upright and bought a clamp from the suppliers og the aerogen. I am fitting a 20cm x 25mm tube cross section to an upright tube (that my aerogen sits on top off) so that I can fit various things such as my navtex and GPs aerials. I am at work at the mo and can't access my personal email account otherwise I would send you details now. Let me know if you want further details and I will send them tonight?
