There are two lightships now used as liveaboards over at Hoo marina. The old Caroline ship has gone round to the Thames somewhere.

Yep thanks Fred.
I think she's at Tilbury..but I did hear a rumour that she was coming back round to Queenborough...probably not.
It all a bit "Severn Valley Railway" these days.

Steve.

Nice piccy Fred and apart for a bit of uppy downy and roly poly around North Foreland it was a lovely trip. Even kept the "long wait"/free poppadom Indian down.
The tent boat is a Camargue 47 belonging to friend who probably left Ramsgit about 5 minutes before we passed Garrison point and took some photos of us before Folly point, hence us showing off at a heady 19 knots!
Sorry didn't see you Mike, it must have been the death grip on the bumper car type steering wheel and travelling at such a heady velocity!

Sorry no time to call you up - had non boaty friends on board asking lots of questions like "how much would that one cost" and then "HOW MUCH?"

Also making smoke to hide ourselves from various raggies. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Did get more raggie waves than before, though. Maybe a new spirit of enlightenment has hit the med?

Glad you had a good trip - we've not made it past Garrison Point so far as work schedule rather hit by the cold and wet winter. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Must say whoever set the course for the racing was inspired or we were just lucky!
