Unidentified Boat? Engine

the carb does not look marine to me, not that the picture really shows it but it looks a bit like a tvo carb.
If you give me the numers off the carb I may be able to tell you. I think I have one of those carbs but cant be sure as cant see it

Looks like a Britt Sprite to me. 10HP on a good day. My father took his Stuart turner P55 out and fitted one of these in 1970. It was a good engine but a lot more vibration than the Stuart. Not sure how you will get on for parts these days but good luck!

Thanks for your help so far guys, but I don't now think that it is a British engine - I've had a proper look this morning, and it seems to have metric fasteners - the magneto is a Bosch FU4B L211, the carb is Solex (France) F26NV.

Looks like the magneto is the incorrect one - four plug lead holes with only two in use - I think that it is a tractor mag, so that's a red herring. The Solex carb definitely looks marine, brass and copper mostly. And I have no idea what a faragota is scottie.......

Either German or more likely Swedish make

Definitely not an Albin. Spent enough time bent double over one setting the mag to recognise one at a hundred yards.

Another possibility is a Renault Couach.

could be be a different model in the range; looks similar without the heat exchanger.......?
