Recently had a problem with reverse on the boat, and after checking other potential causes was advised to check the folding propellor.

Fortunately had just bought a cheap underwater USB endoscope camera so gave it a try. Results were really great for the price (under £20) - and could have saved the cost of an extra lift to check things.
Highly recommended having one - this one seems to be out of stock but other simialr ones avalable

Not sure if this will work, but a video of the prop in reverse. Never really thought about this before, but with the thrust in reverse the prop is angled as the blades move backwards - goes fully forward in ahead.
As far as I can tell all normal - perhaps we had previously picked up some debris which has now gone

thanks, will buy it when its back in stock - is it water proof for the full 7m length?

ps like your other pics esp waverley at dorus mhor :-)

I assume so. Just a 7mm wide circa 5cm long camera on the end of the 7m cable. There is a dimmer switch for the LEDs but this is sensibly sited just next to the USB plug. Need a laptop to see and record from, but if you have this then much cheaper than a GoPro type for very occasional use.
