It would be easy to make the mental leap to the Fastnet race if this launch is confirmed. Either way, lets wish them all safe home on this and any other occasion.

Well that is not what you said in your post /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As to what/where... they don't put any info like that on the web.

Penlee lifeboat has been launched (unconfirmed) any news anyone

[/ QUOTE ]

and he posted the same on another forum here , so not just coincidence that Penlee was stated station.

Not sure we can jump to conclusions that fastnet race is cause, as many other boaters amd ships out there.

Your own link shows Penlee as having been launched?

Yes... Penlee has been launched.

That does confuse me.... edits without the mark as edited note.

I saw the posts on both forums, pretty much as were posted, so would have had to edit very fast to get both before anyone read them. Possibility of course.

Getting very off topic now, but I view posts after posting, and sometimes correct obvious mistakes, when very few people if any have read original post. Different to editing it days later (which you can't do)

Now that will be tricky to get alongside and evacuate a casualty given the conditions.... I would expect Ace of Clubs from RNAS Culdrose to be en-route too.

Well I understood it to be the Penlee from the very beginning of the thread...and yes I simply GUESSED..it might be a Fastnet incident, and its now looking likely that it is.

As to editing posts..if I spot typos in my own I go back and edit. Big deal.

Is it me?

Typos is one thing.... adding/removing content IMO is another which can lead to confusion.

And before anyone says anything, I am not insinuating that the original post was changed - I obviously completely mis-read the name.
