Unbeatable service ?

Saturday 17th May - lunchtime - slightly wild gybe and lost mainsheet track stop and endtrack stop over the side!

Sunday evening - internet search to find manufacturer- Pfeiffer Marine of Germany- e mail sent asking if they can supply replacements.

Monday 19th May reply from Pfeiffer explaining original fitment as supplied to Dehler when our boat built (early 90's) no longer made but they will search out and send us replacements.

Today-Thursday 22nd May replacements delivered , free of charge, to our home.

We think this is exceptional service.

Unbeatable? certainly the best we have experienced from any marine supplier.

SLIGHTLY wild gybe???? Remind me never to go sailing with you! How on earth do you loose the mainsheet track stop overboard?

Sub-standard maufacture obvioulsy, can stand up to the odd gybe or two. No wonder they keep spares available at a moment's notice.

Quite easily done. When we gybed just off Cap de la Hague a couple of years ago my track end stop couldn't come off the track because the cockpit coaming prevents it, but it was pretty well destroyed. It was a little windy at the time but I wouldn't have described it as wild, not even slightly. I have now fitted a more meaty end stop that bolts through the track. So far this one is surviving.
