Unable to 'Paste' into threads or PMs

Until recently I could paste dropbox links into threads and PMs, but now the option doesn't come up when i try to. Also the past icon is shown as background (non available option) only.

Any one any idea why not ?

Is this a forum amendment or just IOS8 on my ipad mini ?

Not sure? What mini ? I have 1st gen and not updating.

Just updated to 8.1.2 but no difference. This iPad mini is a 1st generation, but this is a recent problem.

If I select within the thread text it will copy then paste, but doesn't seem to like external copy e.g. from Dropbox.

Bizarre. I suspect this is an Apple problem - seems the fruit is becoming a little sour of late.
