I spoke to three different companies at the show who were selling ultrasonic anti foul systems. As my boat is 37 ft they all agreed I would need two transducers. Am I thick for even considering fitting it ? Other posts are inconclusive. Is there anyone who has fitted the system and can offer an unbiased opinion ?
Thanks
Derek

Sorry, and this is just my opinion but......
It doesn't work

I think it does depend on the type of water your boat is in, I can only say about my case and I used to "shave" my boat as I called it, at least 3 times a year I had stubble, a weed about 1-3 inch long just along the water line on side of the boat and a good scrub and it came off. The last 3 yrs ive had UAF I have not done once. I moved the boat last yr and it came out in Oct and the boat was clean but engines covered in barnacles but still no weed.

I'd be very worried if my engines were covered in barnacles.........;-)

Fitted to a Sealine S23 in March, hull pressure washed but no new antifoul. A year later after sitting in Weymouth harbour hull was slimy with some weed but could be cleaned with a pressure washer, sterndrive and props covered in barnacles and wormcasts. Difference between them significant.
