Think I may have just witnessed the UKs worst job.......
Two guys on the motorway near Preston armed with sponge and bucket cleaning traffic cones. Any worse than that answers on a postcard or post it here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brings to mind the apocryphal tale of the US General in his plane on the tarmac in Alaska fuming at the delay in take off while the holding tanks (or aviation equivalent) are emptied. He calls up the ground crew. "Soldier, if this bird is not ready to fly in 10 minutes, your life is going to take a turn for the worse". A disembodied voice replies, "Sir, I'm standing on a desolate air base 2000 miles from home, in sub-zero temperature, shifting human waste. How exactly do you intend to punish me?"

Followed up by Derek & Clive Come Again.

Wasn't as good as the former.

I played the Nurse sketch with Mr. Hastings on Hospital Radio one night, and got away with it!! Fun days!!

Sprout picking, onion picking, turkey plucking, hand laying 20+ tonnes of tarmac on a hot day all crap jobs, (the first two are back breaking and you cant get warm any way at all ), turkey plucking you can stand upright still cant get warm and the fleas out of the feathers get as high as your knees before they die (was told that humans arent warm enough for them to survive long on us, have done all those crap jobs when stuck for cash, and, unfortunately still get called on for the tarmacing occasionally, then being cold is not a problem more like heatstroke

Well I was in Preston today. Mostly getting lost!! I've done far worse jobs than cleaning traffic cones. Remember the exploding toilet feasco!! Then again when a female said she just might have dropped some thing accidentaly down the bog?? Theres far worse jobs that being a cone cleaner. Mucky Farter find me all sorts of jobs to beat that!!

OK I admit it "there are worse jobs" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hlb - "lost in Preston" surely not. Road system there perfectly adequate as long as you only want to be able to see were you want to go, but not actually be able to get there. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
