UK Marine industry growth up 5%

My newspaper has reported in its financial pages,that the UK PLC (boat section) grew by 5% this year.This included everything from Nigels new Sunseeker through to the new fender sock I fully intend buying at the LBS on Friday.Not breathtaking but look at every other UK industry last year.
Time to buy some MDL ?
Our Marine industry seems doomed to the same treatment that our motor racing industry chums receive.Among the best but no one at home knows/cares.

There was a time when these stats were in th territory of damp finger in the air but the BMF has had to get a lot more serious about them and the chances are the 10 per cent increase is a reasonable indication of what is going on. If so, that comes against a background of a difficult US market, which will have had an impact on the major motorboat manufacturers, so not a bad result at all.

no not for sale,but if anybody mentions MDL it always sets the anti MDL moaners off on a bit of a rant and provides a bit of interest for a day or two./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
