Hello, I have spent two full weeks at sea, Comp Crew and Day Skipper courses. Other than that, fair weather sailing on the Blackwater at weekends. I graduated last week! Having spent a surmountable amount of time in libraries over the last 3+ years, I’m going to take a year out. I'd like to sail the waters of Europe build up some experience and have fun along the way.
The boat I sail on in the estuary is a 26ft Jaguar, a bermudan sloop rigged with a lazy jacks main and a furling jib. Bog standard, very simple, very basic. The yacht on my comp crew did have a manually folding main sail and required changing the Genoa sail rather than a simple reef... but that was many moons ago and any Captain taking me one would need to give me a quick run through to refresh me. Though, I'll learn fast.
