Tyler Vortex

Purely out of interest, has anyone had any experience with the Vortex hull that was built by Tyler’s in the 80’s? Saw one for sale recently and it’s quite impressive if not equally unusual! Was wondering if the concept of the side sponsons worked as intended?

. From memory the vortex planed at low speed and was sort of wave piercing. Massively expensive craft from memory. Sure they built some pilot boats as well. The hunter landau is a pocket version of the hull form. Very good by all accounts I’ve read.
