Nick Ward, pirate skipper of “Ty Dewi” and his good ship and crew are now less than a week out from Antigua, where no doubt they plan to continue their piratical plundering and pillaging.
Those who were at the most excellent Pirates Weekend on Flint Island (Stone Point) last July will have met him, his family, and the Dutch friends he brought along, and I’m sure a good many will know him in any event.
I’m pleased to say I can find no mention of the dreadful weather we have just experienced here in his log – in fact they seem to have had a pretty benign “milk run” (so far, touch wood).

I particularly enjoyed his account of going out for dinner mid Atlantic.
His is a very enterprising voyage rather than simply the accomplishment of a transat, as he and his family plan to end up living in Vancouver.
