The Morbihan in Southern Brittany is a great area for trailered boats excellent facilities at Port Croustey
On my 3 x 2 week visits always August found the weather no better than Cornwall. You relly need to get alot further south for better weather

Well, I just spent a good part of this month on the Shannon. So if you are unfortunate enough to get the same weather I got, leave the sunscreen, shorts and t shirts at home. Bring oilskins, wellies and umbrellas. Also bring a spare liver, because the weather will drive you to drink /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif, Thank God for Kileens (Shannonbridge) and JJ Haughs (Banagher), nothing like a pint or eight of Guinness to make you forget about this sh*te weather! Look out for drunken Germans on the pontoon, I nearly fell over one at 2am at Shannonbridge.
Hope the weather is better for you than it was for me, as we know, there is no where like the Shannon when the sun is shining.
