And we will be afloat agin!
Waiting for the warmer weather has paid off, managed a weekend a couple of weeks ago antifouling and spent this weekend to add final two coats and all ticked including boot top two stripes. Topside washed and waxed and deck scrubbed as a bonus. Engine re commissioned and fired up first time but no pumping water. New impeller and all was good. Doing all of this single handed is a bit interesting dashing up and out to check exhaust and back down below to monitor water levels in the container. All good fun!
Managed to find the rudder shaft seal and re top up with grease, would have been a sight 6ft2 second row forward stuffed into the lazerette with a fair amount of grunting and the odd expletive as the great and the good promenaded past the boatyard for Mother's Day.
Can't quite believe that we have those jobs ticked so with the bigger tides this week we are making the most of it.
Gus seems happier with the spring range this week so that's it chocks away! We will be making the trip back down the hard with a smile on our faces - well figuratively speaking as we will be launched and taken to our mooring such is the great service offered without being present.
Looking forward to seeing folk out and about, we will be enjoying our Pin Mill mooring spot again and looking forward to some great sailing.
Wishing those in a similar predicament safe launching and fair winds. We are in for back to back seasons so let's hope the paint choice was right.
